Somers Carr - Founder & Proprietor

Somers has been in the hospitality bar industry for 13 years, working in France, England, Canada and back home in Bermuda.

Somers founded The Blind Pig as a way to offer Bermuda a high-end catering service that not only specializes in craft cocktails, but also in wine and beer.

Somers is a big advocate of contemporary cocktail service, while incorporating old-school techniques and authenticity.

Somers' Favourite Cocktail:

"My top cocktails would have to be a Manhattan (a great sipping drink), Daiquiri (a summertime favourite) and the Margarita (because, what party is complete without one?!)"

Matt Francis - Proprietor

Matt has worked extensively within the hospitality industry on the island, writing cocktail menus and bar training programs for several establishments, including Devils Isle & The Tapas Club.

Previously an award winning Coffee Barista, Matt turned his attention to cocktails over a decade ago, having completed a number of international bartending qualifications. He has been honing his craft ever since.

 

Matt has competed in competitions both on the island and internationally, having won the Stoli Bermuda Cocktail Master 2015, Goslings Best Bartender 2016, The Bacardi Master Bartender 2018 & 2019.

 

Matt's Favourite Cocktail:
"That's a tough one! There are so many to choose from, and great new ideas all the time... but, I'd say a really well-made classic Sour has got to be up there"
